Job Description
• Control the General Ledger function and control all the entries into the GL system.
• Execute transactions in ERP system.
• Review all manual journal entries.
• Implement measurable productivity matrix within the finance function.
• Provide full support to senior management in improving working capital management. Demonstrable experience in working capital management.
• Enhance the existing accounting and finance policies and procedures.
• To identify and manage any Financial Control issues or weaknesses via proactive reporting. Experience in resolving audit issues and remediating control deficiencies.
• To manage and develop effective relations within the finance team.
Skills
• Complete understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, including accounting concepts. Understanding of SOCPA is highly desired.
• At least a part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, SOCPA), with experience in a Chief Accountant capacity.
• Expected to have grown within a finance function from junior accountant to a Chief Accountant level.
• Up to date and relevant technical accounting skills. Understanding and expertise in all modules of finance ERP and sub ledgers.
• Functional knowledge of ERP, especially BAAN.
• Proficiency in all of Microsoft Office applications, especially ability to write macros in excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
• Six+ years of relevant personal experience
Reporting Line:
• Reporting to the Finance Manager and provide the required support by fulfilling the key responsibilities as explained above.
