Job Description
• To be responsible for the creation of Monthly Reporting Package for the Senior Management and Group Finance, in an accurate and timely manner. Liaise with business heads/ directors and produce meaningful commentary on variances. Analyze trends and results. Working with the senior team to identify suitable key performance indicators.
• Planning and leading the annual budgeting process; Ensuring all activities are completed by budget holders and management across to deliver the annual budget to the required standard; Educating and supporting budget holders; Guiding budget holders on financial matters and assist in the preparation and presentation of their business cases, plans/ proposals, feasibilities and responding to RFPs.
• Experience analyzing commercial trends and financial data would be ideal.
• Developing forecasting model and analyzing actual performance against budget and forecast.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing cash flow forecasting and effective management of the process.
• Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and other stakeholders in the best interest of the company.
• Implement measurable productivity matrix within the finance function.
• Provide full support to senior management in improving working capital management. Demonstrable experience in working capital management.
• Enhance the existing accounting and finance policies and procedures.
• To identify and manage any Financial Control issues or weaknesses via proactive reporting. Experience in resolving audit issues and remediating control deficiencies.
• To manage and develop effective relations with key stakeholders across the Group
Skills
• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, SOCPA), with experience in a finance manager capacity.
• Up to date and relevant technical accounting skills. Complete command over cost and management accounting. Solid understanding of IFRS and preparing financial statements. Drive consistency in IFRS policies and regulations where necessary.
• Proficiency in all of Microsoft Office applications, especially ability to write macros in excel.
• Functional knowledge of ERP, especially BAAN.
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
• Relevant professional experience in the retail sector is highly desirable.
Reporting Line:
• Reporting to the Finance Director and provide the required support by fulfilling the key responsibilities as explained above.
